Trusting that the Author of my story is still writing.

03/17/26 | Faith

There are moments in life when it can feel like the story is slowing down.

Not in a bad way.

But in a way that feels quieter than before.

There was a time when my life moved in seasons of constant motion — planning, solving, guiding, and pouring myself into the people and responsibilities around me.

Now I am learning something deeper.

God is not finished writing my story.

I think sometimes we believe purpose only exists in seasons of visible movement — when we are building, achieving, or stepping into something new in ways others can easily see.

But I am learning that God works just as powerfully in the chapters where life feels still.

Faith is not always about knowing the next step.

Sometimes faith is about trusting that the next page is already being prepared, even when I cannot see the words yet.

There are parts of my life that are changing shape.

Parenting is changing.

My daily rhythms are changing.

Even how I think about purpose is changing.

And instead of feeling afraid of that, I am learning to see it as evidence that I am still being shaped.

I am reminded that growth is not limited to youth, and purpose is not retired when children grow up.

God does not finish writing our stories simply because one chapter feels complete.

Sometimes what looks like an ending is really a transition into something we are not ready to name yet.

I don’t need to rush the writing of the next chapter.

I don’t need to force meaning where God may be working quietly.

I am learning to walk in the peace of knowing that my life is held even when I do not have all the answers.

If you are standing in a season that feels uncertain or unfinished, I want to leave you with this truth today:

Your story is not over.

You are not forgotten.

And the quiet places in your life are not empty — they are often where God is doing work you cannot yet see.

So I will keep walking forward with open hands and a willing heart.

Trusting that the Author of my story is still writing.

Very well said. It’s easy to get caught up in what you feel you need to do to meet others expectations (the chaos), but knowing that you are enough and that believing that things will roll out the way they are intended (the quiet) is also a wonderful reminder of faith. I didn’t know I needed this read today. Thank you for sharing!

This is such a beautiful and comforting reminder. I love how you shared that even in the quiet seasons, God is still working behind the scenes and that’s so true. It’s so easy to feel unsure when life slows down, but your words really bring peace and perspective. Thank you for this encouragement, it truly speaks to the heart

Awwww…. thank you for this post. I needed to read this. I feel like everything with me has been quiet lately, no new anything. Just feeling exhausted about it all. So thank you for the reassurance that God is not finished with my story
