Stocking Stuffer ideas for every kind of kid

12/01/15 | Celebrate, Christmas

Stocking stuffer ideas

Most years I struggle with stocking stuffer ideas and most years they are one of the last things I get around to buying because I’m never quite sure what to get.  I want items that are inexpensive but I want to fill their stockings with stuff they will actually appreciate and won’t be broken, forgotten or destroyed by new years- I don’t need any more junk that will litter my house.  My favourite part of Christmas morning has always been opening our Christmas stocking.  As a kid I love to discover what little treasures where hidden and nestled in there and now that I am a mom I love filling and watching my kids empty theirs. This time around, though, I find myself with the opposite problem – i’ve found too many great options.  While I struggle to narrow down my list, I thought I’d share it with you all in case you’re still in need of a small stocking stuffer ideas item or two.

You’ll find something for every kind of kid here -Enjoy!

These favourite stocking stuffer ideas won’t make you feel like you’re throwing your money away.

These are great ideas. I always find stocking stuffers hard to shop for, for some reason!

Growing up stockings were my absolute favorite part of Christmas Day. It meant that the day was winding down and I had a chance to reflect on how lucky I am to have such a wonderful family. Your list is really great. I especially love the idea to give fake moustaches!

Great list. Now do you have one for husbands? I don’t have children left at home, but I will pass this list down to my daughters and DIL’s. Thanks for sharing.

Stockings have always been my favorite part of Christmas. Santa always puts socks in our stockings and a few yummy treats. I watch the clearance section of stores all year long!

What an awesome list! I’m always stuck for stocking stuffers, and then I get on a roll and end up buying too much, lol.

I remember I was happy with just candy on my Christmas stockings before. There are a lot more options now like mini toys, figurines, etc.

Coloring books are always a favorite with the kids in my life. Bubbles, Legos and tattoos never get old either.

What a great list! Some times the small things are just as great. My mother used to get us some things like this and then one nicer for our stockings.

Great ideas. We always do candy, new crayons and a coloring book and some little toys. I like the addition of bubbles.

This is a great list of stocking stuffers, I struggle with finding what to put in them that will actually be liked and not be part of the clutter

I love this list of things for stockings. Stocking stuffers are small items I tend to buy throughout the month of December then forget what I bought and end up with tons of stuff!

Great ideas! I remember when I was growing up, my mom filled our stockings with socks and underwear. Talk about a disappointment.

we would get a quarter and an orange. Apparently that’s what my nana used to get in her’s when she was a kid.
Socks and underwear does kinda suck.. unless it’s “cartoon” or “day of the week”. I would on the other hand be totally ok with a Victoria secret gift card in my stocking this year.

What a great list of stocking stuffer ideas, I would love to see most of those even in mine, especially the lip balm and mini nail polish.

I have to admit, stocking stuffers are one of my favorite gifts to buy for Christmas. I normally put gift cards in there for my tween.

My favorite gifts were always the stocking stuffers. The bigger gifts were usually used only for a short while, but the stocking stuffers I used for so long, mostly because they were arts & craft things. Great, great list!

Soooo many good and inexpensive ideas! Thanks for giving me a few ideas for the little ones in my family! You could add a lump of coal, as in Candy Coal! 🙂 Or flower or veggie grow kits!
