Lately life has felt a little quieter in the best possible way — like stepping back from noise and getting clearer about what really matters.
Leading With Heart
Most of my days are spent on-boarding and mentoring educators, helping new team members find confidence as they grow into their roles. I’ve been focusing less on perfection and more on presence — helping others understand not just the tasks in front of them, but the purpose behind the work we do with children.
Intentional practice has become important to me. I want teams that respond thoughtfully, regulate emotionally, and treat each other and the children in our care with respect. Leadership, for me, isn’t about control. It’s about walking beside people as they grow.
Listening to My Body
I’ve been paying closer attention to my health and how stress, food, and emotional weight show up in my body. Living without a gallbladder means I have to be more mindful about digestion and energy levels, and I’ve found that consistency with my supplements and routines helps me feel more balanced.
I’m also continuing to navigate adenomyosis and fibroids naturally, learning what supports my body and what doesn’t. It’s a process of observation more than pressure — choosing awareness over frustration.
Emotional Growth & Boundaries
There’s been a lot of quiet internal work lately.
I’ve been reflecting on family relationships, especially around the complicated feelings of wanting connection but also needing emotional safety. I’m learning that I don’t have to over-adapt or carry guilt for wanting to be treated with kindness and consistency.
I’m starting to understand that my value isn’t determined by someone else’s ability to see it.
That’s still hard some days, but it’s getting clearer.
Faith & Grounding
Faith has been a steady anchor. I keep coming back to the idea of being rooted — not rushed, not forced, just planted and allowed to grow in its own time.
I’m learning that trust doesn’t always mean understanding the path ahead. Sometimes it just means believing that I am held even when things feel uncertain.
Home & Small Joys
Home is soft and simple right now.
Coffee is still a daily comfort. Jeans and sweatshirts are my unofficial uniform. My two cats — one spirited calico and one gentle ragdoll — make life a little more chaotic and a lot more warm.
I’m learning to let life be a little slower in the spaces where it can be.
Where I Am
If I had to describe this season, it would be refining.
I’m refining how I lead.
Refining how I protect my energy.
Refining how I show up in relationships.
Refining how I see myself.
It’s not flashy growth. It’s quiet, steady, internal work.
And honestly, it feels stronger that way.
A Final Thought
I am learning that growth doesn’t always announce itself.
Sometimes it shows up as quieter confidence. As choosing boundaries without apology. As sitting with uncomfortable feelings instead of running from them. As realizing that healing is not about becoming someone new, but about coming home to the person I was always meant to be.
I am learning that I don’t have to earn the right to take up space. I don’t have to shrink to make someone else comfortable. And I don’t have to rush becoming.
This season is about roots — deep, unseen, and strong enough to hold whatever life brings next.
And for now, I am simply grateful to be here, growing in the quiet, ordinary, beautiful middle of it all.
