Part 6: 15 things to do with your kids in the summer time

07/24/15 | 15 things to do with your kids in the summer time, Grow, Play in the sun

Are you looking for things to do with your kids in the summer time? We made it… halfway through the summer and **knock on wood** and so far we haven’t had one single case of the “I’m bored, there is nothing to do” that I haven’t been able to tame.   The week was a busy one… I tried my skills at painting and took in a paint nite with my girlfriend.  The youngest was at zoo camp all this week and now we are busy preparing for next week where the middle two are away for a week.  Which means I am trying to get all the laundry done before we have to take them this weekend.   What about you?

Things to do with your kids in the summer time.

Things to do with your kids in the summer part 6

Did you and your little ones try any of the activities from last week? How did it go?  I would love to hear all about it in the comments below.

What was your families favourite things to do with your kids in the summer time activity?

Join us next Friday for Part 6 of our summer series. We will be halfway thru the summer… sheesh time sure flies!

This is such a cute summer bucket list, we have completed a few of these already. With only a few more weeks of summer until schools starts I bet we can knock a few more off the list. Thank you for the ideas. I don’t like hearing I am bored, I have nothing to do.

Good for you for not having any “BORED” days! That is a huge success. These lists have been very helpful for me too!

This looks like such a fun list! I love #8 and think maybe it’s time for me to give it a whirl! I’m really curious about Kale chips!

Great ideas! This summer we built a chicken coop and focused on learning all about our chickens, their behaviors and preparing for eggs.

I like the idea of keeping a Journal. It encourages children to read and write and perfect their communication skills

All things I remember doing with my older children. The friendship bracelets we made when they were younger have places of pride in my jewelry box.

What a great list. My kids have done a few of these – swim in a kiddie pool, etc. I would love to plant a garden it is too hot here though.

I wouldn’t mind getting started on a garden either. If nothing else I could do an indoor herb garden.

We visited a farm last week and had such an amazing experience. This week, I want to incorporate family exercise to our routine.

THAT IS ONE BIG LIST. This year we have been reading a lot with the kids, but between that and the camp there seem almost no time left for anything else

I totally agree with you Lena, the summer is sneaking away quite quickly!
Hope you have been enjoying your summer. 🙂
We have a couple more weeks left of “15 things to do with your kids in the summer” I just hope we don’t run out of steam before then!

Those are all great things. I just found a trampoline fun zone and plan on taking the kids there before school starts in the next few weeks.

I’d like to visit a new historical site we found. We used to live in the area years ago, but my son never has so it’s all new to him. 🙂

Make a journal! I should see if my kiddos would be on board with that. I love the idea, and it would be helpful to see how they are feeling about our boring summer days!

I would love to read 10 books, may be more. I need to get back in the reading game. I have been slacking in that department.
