Part 3: 15 things to do with your kids in the summer

07/03/15 | 15 things to do with your kids in the summer time, Grow, Play in the sun

Part 3 summer fun   What’s the weather like where you are?  Last weekend was blistering hot with temperatures hovering just above  30C followed by two days of  grey skies and rain.  Not that I am complaining!  It was Wonderful to spend some time out in the sunshine.  The hubby and I borrowed the convertible and we snuck away for a quick scouting trip to check out our next adventure.  Since last summer we have wanted to take the kids tubing down the Pembina River so it was really exciting to go and check it out for ourselves.  I can’t wait to take the kids for a 3 hour float.. wow, anyone else just hear the theme song to ‘Gilligan’s Island”?    We have a busy weekend ahead of us with a wedding and a last minute assignment to finish before Monday so I think our float will have to wait.  Speaking of the wedding, I need to go and get my nails done!

Did you try any of the activities from last week?

What was your family favourite?

Join us next Friday for Part 4 of our “15 things to do with your kids in the summer time”.

What really fun ideas! My grandmother used to paint rocks and I have never considered doing it as a fun project but I may need to make that happen pretty soon! Thanks so much for sharing such great ways to keep that boredom monster away 😀

I live in a agricultural town and love farmers markets. Cannot wait for the roasted green chilis to start here soon!

I want to paint rocks with my kiddos. I think they’d love that. They love painting and would love to make little characters and keep it!

You’ve got one of our favorites on that list – go mini golfing. Where we live they run specials a few times a summer where you get 99 cent games and we always go when that is going on. It’s such a fun activity for the adults and the kids!
