“Do you want to build a snowman?” YES!! But, the snow is melting and it doesn’t look like we are going to get anymore any time soon. It has been unseasonable warm here this winter and even though I am loving balmy weather there’s just not enough snow to be able to do anything…
The entire family laced up our skates on the weekend and we enjoyed a couple hours of skating. Unfortunately, I learned my skates need to be replaced and somehow I ended up with a pair that are two sizes too big. Don’t get me wrong.. I love that it’s been warm and we are enjoying being able to go outside and not deal with frostbite but, I really want my kids to have a wonderful winter.
Speaking on snowmen… have you seen this?
We saw “Lily & the snowman” when we took the kids to the movies and even though we might not have much snow Lily does have a great idea on how to hold onto winter for just a little longer…
What do you think?
I haven’t been skating in years! This is my first time seeing this short but oh my gosh, I love it! I’m sure my daughter would love watching it with me.
I haven’t seen that video but it sure looks adorable! I haven’t been skating since I was a teenager!
What a cute video! I have to say as much as I don’t mind being an adult during a mild winter, the kid inside of me is a little disappointed we haven’t had a snow day or any great sledding snow yet! – Katy
I like to skate, but it has been too cold to enjoy. Lily and the Snowman is very touching.
When I was a child I skated. But somewhere along the way I could no longer do it – poor ankles I guess. My kids have never even been on skates. They aren’t even interested.
My ankles and my feet hurt when I skate too. I just got fitted for skates and now I just have to “break them in”. The kids LOVE going skating and there are so many places we can go here in the city. I love going down to the river valley and go skating on the pond 🙂
Aw what a sweet short film. I hadn’t seen this before now so thank you.
They played this one before the new star wars film! Guess they wanted to get our emotions going before the movie started.
