The Pink Drink I make at home when I need a little joy

03/09/26 | Eat

My copycat Pink Drink ( A little Mom Guilty Pleasure)

I don’t have a lot of “me” things.

Most days are carpools and laundry and making sure everyone else has what they need before I even think about myself. So when I find something small that feels like I mine, I hold onto it.

And this?

This is one of mine.

My copycat Pink Drink,

There’s something about holding a cold pink drink in a clear glass that feels like I’ve stepped out of chaos for five minutes. Enough though nothing around me has actually changed, it feels different.

It’s small.

It’s simple.

It’s unnecessary.

And yet, maybe that’s exactly why I love it.

I used to think of guilty pleasures had to be extravagant.

Big shopping trips.

Spa days.

Weekend getaways.

However, lately I’ve realized mine looks much quieter than that.

Instead, it looks like ice clinking in a glass while the house hums in the background.

It looks like choosing something just because I like it.

No justification.

No productivity attached.

Just joy.

My At-Home Pink Drink Recipe

Here’s how I make it:

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup strawberry- white cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • freeze- dried strawberries (or fresh sliced strawberries)
  • ice
  • 1tsp. Strawberry simple syrup

Directions:

  1. add a layer of freeze- dried strawberries to the bottom of the glass.
  2. Pour in cranberry juice and coconut milk & stir gently.
  3. Add the simple syrup and a few more strawberries.
  4. Take a breath before your next task.

It’s creamy, lightly sweet, Plus, it feels like summer- even when life doesn’t.

I think we underestimate how powerful small pleasures are.

When your body has been tired.

When your mind has been heavy. When life has felt like a lot.

Sometimes healing isn’t dramatic.

Instead, it’s subtle.

Sometimes it’s just a pink drink in your own kitchen.

And maybe that’s enough.
