Best Christmas Gifts for a 10 year old girl

10/26/16 | Christmas

abigail

That’s my daughter Abigail (she’s turning 10 years old just a few days after Christmas) and together we made this list of the best gifts for 10 year old girls whether it be for her birthday, Christmas or just because you want to do something special.

There are gifts for outdoors girls, girly girls, trendy girls, science whizzes, artists, book worms and more.  I’ve got one of the best gift lists for 10 year old girls to pick from because I’m a mother of one!

Gift ideas for a 10 year old girl & Where we found them!

Celebrating  milestones in our kids lives should be fun right? Both my daughter and I think this shirt sums it up quite nicely now we just have to decide what colour…

This Mermaid-Crochet Blanket is perfect for curling up and snuggling on the sofa. Warm and cozy your little one will be singing along with Ariel before you know it.

This Lip Balm Boutique is a cool crafty present to buy a 10 year old because they can create their own all natural lip balms and even learn the science behind how its really made. This little beauty craft project introduces girls to chemistry in a way that is fun and creative.  Included in this kit are 6 lip balm containers, 1 lip balm mold, 1 lotion bar mold with 4 shapes, 1 gift bag sticker sheet, 6 lotion bar gift bags and beeswax. This kit has enough product that you’re ten year old can create 6 different lip balms in really cool containers like the ones that popular brands like EOS come in.

Abigail loves going to and hosting sleepovers! Now in addition to telling ghost stories, staying up late, and playing truth or dare, girls can play everyone’s favourite word game at their next sleepover. With glitter on the cover and 21 stories that’ll have everyone giggling all night long, this book will be the _________ [noun] of the party!

My daughter loves to stitch and this sew cute cat is top on her list.  With easy-to-follow instructions, pre-cut felt pieces, child-safe needle and thread are a perfect way to induce her to sewing and develop her creative side.

My daughter loves wearing bracelets to school but we agree that she can swap out the cheap plastic ones for these modern and stylish bracelets. The Swarovski crystals and simulated pearls are beautiful and are the perfect accessory for anything!

What little girl (Or big girl for that matter) doesn’t love getting pampered? This 30+ piece spa day deluxe kit set includes everything you need to host a spa party with an inflatable pedicure pool, battery operated nail dryer, satin eye mask, pedicure slippers and toe separators. It also includes nail file, buffer, 4 bottles of nail polish, 1 bottle of glitter polish, 6 sets of printed press-on nails, stick-on nail art, nail stand, cotton balls and satin spa bag to hold all of your supplies.

While she’s enjoying a little pampering she can wrap herself in this beautiful Kimono velvet Bathrobe.  I wish they made them for grown-ups!

Our daughter loves gazing up at the nighttime sky and with the MoonScope she can take a tour of the nighttime sky, with visits to Saturn, Jupiter, and even the mountain ranges on the moon without leaving home.  The MoonScope comes with a 22-page activity guide to get started on your stellar celestial adventure and a 26-page journalling guide to help keep track of everything she has seen.

This little orange bag was a surprise for me, granted it’s adorable but I don’t know if she would use this to lug her stuff to school or if it would be strictly for sleepovers and trips to the pool.  Personally I loved the strawberry one more but this one is just as appealing. (snicker)

In the winter our kids spend a lot of time outside playing in the snow and this owl scarf is a just a hoot! Lightweight and warm and just the right size it won’t end up on any snowmen this year.

What kid doesn’t love glow in the dark experiments that smell, ooze, glow, and bubble over for hours of fun. This includes a 24-page book includes instructions for 20 experiments with items you already have at home!

We eat a lot of ice cream in our house so this Scientific Explorer Ice Cream Science Kit is a perfect gift! Just grab a shirt, mix up the ingredients and twirl the shirt like a jump rope. Ice cream is ready to eat in 5 minutes. Includes 6 plastic bags, measuring spoon, ice cream dish, measuring cup, 2 pipettes, 1oz, of rainbow sprinkles, 1oz. of cocoa, 2oz. of strawberry syrup, 2oz. of vanilla syrup and instructions.

Abigail may not play Barbies nearly as often as she used to but, she loves to collect the new Barbie Fashionistas dolls. These dolls live up to their name with fabulous trendy looks and each outfit is completed with a pair of shoes and one additional accessory. These dolls reflect a realistic mix of today’s girls with unique clothing and hairstyles reflect different styles and looks.

Now this one isn’t on her list because she found a copy her big sister used to own but, she been nose deep in it for months so it’s too good not to share. The Big Book of Girl Stuff is still loaded with fascinating facts, activities, quotes, games, and insightful information and advice on important topics. This humorous and informative resource is filled with everything a girl needs to know and celebrates all the things that make being a girl so wonderful. And not only is it a perfect handbook for preteens, ‘tweens, and teens, but it will delight moms, aunts, and big sisters as well!

What was your favourite gift when you were 10?  I would love to hear about it in the comments below!

These are great gift ideas! I love books!
I try to cover gifts using this motto-
    something you want
    something you need
    something to read

My 11 year old world love everything in this list, except maybe the Barbie. She’s “too old” for dolls. My 9 year old wouldn’t. But she loves Goldie Blox. Go figure.

My daughter is too young for these, but I know that she would like the jewelry and clothing items. Looks like a great list for a 10 year old

These are great ideas! My daughter is almost 9 and I am already struggling with what to get her, she is little and still plays with toys. But she is also outgrowing a lot of them, it is a tough transition period. Thanks for the ideas!

Thanks for this list, now I can buy something that I know will be a hit! Will you have lists like this for other ages? I have a 12 year old boy and a six year old girl to buy for too and a list like this would be wonderful!

I sent this list to her Great Aunt and to both of her grandparents to help give them some ideas as to what to get Miss Giggles. With her Birthday just a few days after Christmas we try and make and take the guess work out of giving.
